Lactation Consultants

Our Mission

Lactation care is a human right. At Wisco Lactation, we feel that babies deserve human milk and their parents deserve support in giving it to them. Studies show that breastfeeding outcomes are improved when the proper supports are in place.

We are deeply committed to providing inclusive and comprehensive lactation care to all families that we consult with. We provide unique, evidence-based support to families so that they may make their own informed choices in infant feeding. Our focus is to meet families where they are at and support them in a judgment free way that puts their mental health first.

Lactating parents need support and expert guidance from highly skilled providers. We are always learning  and growing as lactation professionals to better serve our clients.

Meet the Team

At Wisco Lactation, you’re supported by the most  highly trained, collaborative team of IBCLCs serving Milwaukee, Madison, Kenosha, all of Southern Wisconsin, and Lake County, Illinois. Unlike many local practices, every single member of our team completes extensive advanced education—because we believe families deserve the highest standard of care.

Our entire team has pursued specialized, in-depth training in oral ties and oral function, including IBCLC Masterclass, TOTs Training, Reflex-Based Oral Function Professional, and Breath Baby. We go even further with advanced education in bottle refusal, pumping and flange fitting, introducing solids, maternal mental health, reflexive latching, and more.

When you work with Wisco Lactation, you don’t just get one consultant—you get the strength, knowledge, and problem-solving power of our entire multi-disciplinary team. We collaborate behind the scenes on complex feeding cases to ensure you receive the best, most informed care possible. And honestly? We just love getting nerdy about the latest research so you don’t have to.

We can’t wait to share our expertise with you and your growing family.

Ever since I can remember, I have loved babies and now I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by them everyday! I found my passion for breastfeeding support shortly after graduating college with a degree in speech pathology. It was then that I discovered you can help feed babies for a living and I knew that's exactly what I wanted to do. I sat for my board exam in 2016 and have been working in private practice ever since. I love supporting families with infant feeding, and I'm so excited to be a part of your journey.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband and daughter. I love being outside, attempting to bake something in the kitchen, and drinking copious amounts of coffee.

I am excited and honored to assist you on your breastfeeding journey. I believe that all families, no matter how they choose to feed their babies, should be given all the information needed to make informed decisions and to be supported in those choices. It is this knowledge that gives you the power to do what is right for your own family.

I love helping parents through their breastfeeding journeys and empowering them along the way. You will not find any judgement for your choices with me, only love and a helping hand.

I spend my free time hanging out with my husband, two kiddos and crazy dog.

I have over 10 years of experience helping families feed their babies and about 4.5 years of experience feeding my own!  I fell in love with the field of lactation “on accident” when I was just a CNA out in California.  After seeing the positive impact of lactation consultants at the hospital I worked at, I was inspired.  I quickly knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.  Since then, my entire career has been focused on my passion for expanding access to high quality, equitable lactation care.  I immediately became a breastfeeding counsellor, practicing for 5 years in a variety of settings before finally sitting for my board exam and becoming an IBCLC in 2022.

Along the way, I moved home to Wisconsin, where most lactation consultants were registered nurses, so I became an RN.  Eventually, I grew frustrated with having to advocate for primary care providers to understand the needs of lactating women and breastfeeding infants.  This is when I decided the world needs more breastfeeding medicine providers.  In late 2024, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a master’s degree in nursing, and in early 2025, I became a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner, expanding my scope of practice to include diagnosis, ordering, and prescribing privileges.

I have countless hours of continuing education and am always taking some sort of class in the background.  I firmly believe that I will never be done learning.  I love the rewarding challenge of working with families with complex needs, and have specialized in infant oral function, milk supply issues, recurrent mastitis, induction of lactation, perinatal mental health, and persistent breast/nipple pain and damage.  I strive to explore root cause and work with the body to achieve positive outcomes.  I do my best to meet families where they are at, focusing on their goals, rather than my own, and supporting them through the struggles so we can celebrate the triumphs.

When I’m not at work, you can find me spending time with my 3 kids (Calla, 5; Colter, 3; Wilder, infant).  As a family, we love to take our horses camping, spend time outdoors, and watch movies.  I will never say no to iced coffee, a good street taco, or a rom com on a Saturday night!

I look forward to working with you on your infant feeding and postpartum goals!

I’ve been working with expectant and new families for more than 34 years and have spent the last 15+ years as an IBCLC.

Feeding your little one is so personal. When you have worries and concerns, you deserve care that is focused only on you and your baby. I want to understand your family and your goals so that I can best support you on your parenting journey.

From prenatal education to understanding infants and their parents, I get to use my knowledge in every visit with you. I am a birth and postpartum doula trainer, parent educator, and have a special interest in helping parents and babies learn about one another. I co-created and facilitated a new parents group for over 25 years and I am a Postpartum Support International perinatal mood disorder group facilitator.

My husband and I are the parents of two incredible adults and we get to grandparent a spirited and kind granddaughter. At home, we are at the beck and call of a sassy long-haired dachshund who allows me to knit and read, as long as he is snuggled up beside me.

I have spent my entire nursing career helping babies at Children’s Hospital and Columbia St Mary’s. After having babies of my own I realized that my passion lies within the area of helping moms and babies through the challenges of breastfeeding.

I transitioned to focus solely on lactation and have been an IBCLC since 2010 and am grateful to help in this out-patient setting. The hospital visit is short and your milk is still increasing in volume. The one or two visits you get help with feedings at the hospital are typically not enough. Getting help with breastfeeding when you’re back home is more relaxed and tailored to you and your baby.

My passions in life are my 3 boys, being outside in nature, and walking my dogs. I hope to bring a sense of calm and logic to what can be a very stress inducing and sleep deprived time of life. My goal is to bring an expert’s perspective and watchful eye to see things that help with the comfort and easiness of breastfeeding. I want to support you on this journey of motherhood.

After spending time in the fields of dentistry, physical therapy, and research, I am thrilled to have found my passion in lactation!

I was a patient of Wisco Lactation (before it was even Wisco!) nearly 7 years ago, and as I struggled to start my first breastfeeding journey, I was amazed that a career to help moms and babies breastfeed together existed! Being able to start my lactation career as an intern and now IBCLC at this fabulous private practice has been a dream come true. My favorite part of lactation is seeing the dyad go from (often) frustration to empowerment and confidence! I am honored to walk with families near and far in their feeding journeys.

Outside of Wisco, I am blessed to enjoy life with my wonderful husband and 4 sons. Together, we love to read and get outside.

I look forward to helping you reach your feeding goals!

While I’ve always been deeply passionate about women’s and pediatric health, my dedication to lactation support truly began through the personal experiences of family members and close friends. Witnessing their challenges, questions, and emotions surrounding feeding their babies opened my eyes to how complex and vulnerable this season can be. Lactation is an incredibly unique journey—one that can be rewarding, overwhelming, and everything in between—and it often comes with far more nuance than people expect.

No matter how you choose to feed your baby, your love, commitment, and intention to nourish them is evident. There is no one “right” way to feed a baby, and every family deserves support that is free of judgment and centered on their individual goals. From thoughtful prenatal education to compassionate, evidence-based postpartum care, you deserve to feel heard, validated, and confident in your feeding decisions. Each mother–baby dyad is truly one of a kind, and I strive to provide personalized care by meeting you exactly where you are, whether that means building skills, troubleshooting challenges, or simply offering reassurance during a demanding season of life.

Outside of my work with Wisco Lactation, I love spending quality time with my family and my dog. I enjoy traveling and being outdoors, but I’m just as happy staying in for a cozy night with a good movie and plenty of snacks. Balancing meaningful work with time to recharge helps me show up fully for the families I support, and I feel honored to walk alongside parents during such an important chapter of their lives.

I have always had a passion for helping moms, babies, and families.

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist since 2005, I have enjoyed working with babies and children in a variety of settings.

I found my love of movement with the Feldenkrais Method® in 2007, which is a gentle, hands-on somatic approach. Through a variety of neuromotor and manual therapy techniques, I address movement, sensory, and overall function at the core of the nervous system.

My personal breastfeeding journey led me to the world of tongue ties and myofunctional therapy. I use a holistic, whole-body approach to swallowing, eating/feeding, and oral motor coordination.

I am a mother of 2 sweet boys and 1 wild girl. We love traveling & exploring, trying new restaurants, sporting events, art, and music.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology and went on to work as a home visitor, supporting first time mom's. It is an honor to be part of a new parent’s village, to cheer them on as they reach their goals and empower them to trust their intuition.

My husband and I enjoy spending our time exploring museums, parks and libraries with our daughter and son.

I am so excited to join the Wisco Lactation team as the office manager! I am a mama of a 5 year old little boy and love everything about being a mom. I have an extensive background of working in healthcare most of my adult life and love being in an environment that is focused on helping people. I am a huge supporter of women and mother's on their breastfeeding journey, as I exclusively breastfed my son for almost 2 years! It was an important goal of mine as a mom, and without the support of other wonderful women, mothers and professionals I may not have been able to make my goal.

I love being able to help others and mental health is something that is very close to my heart. I look forward to being the one to answer the phone when you call and will be here for any kind of support or help I can provide you on your lactation journey!
